Elizabeth P. — A Family Asking Questions

Elizabeth P. lives in Arvada, approximately two miles from the Rocky Flats property. Her son, Nathan, developed a rare cancer of the heart and underwent surgery and years of chemotherapy. Elizabeth later learned of another person living only blocks away who had been diagnosed with the same rare heart cancer in the same general period. That experience led her to ask whether the illnesses deserved closer investigation. Her concern about a possible pattern is her personal belief, not a conclusion by Rocky Flats Downwinders. Elizabeth became an advocate and has participated publicly in discussions and legal proceedings concerning Rocky Flats.
